Physical Punishment - The Yes & No's of It!

Throw out the behavior, Keep the Kid! Even though I am not for hard spanking, I do not classify short swats designed to stop a dangerous behavior and get the child's attention as spanking. Certainly, parents need to be able to make these small swats for the child's safety. Let's discuss the real reason we want to spank, and see if we can make good decisions about other ways to change behavior.
