Birds of Prey - The Peregrine Falcon
As one of the most widespread raptors in the world the sleek and speedy Peregrine Falcon is found throughout the world on all continents except Antarctica. With such a widespread distribution around the world the Peregrine is rivaled by only the Osprey in its extensive habitat.

The Osprey is another beautiful member of the raptor family. Quite widespread around the world, they are located on all continents except for Antarctica. Also known the Sea Hawk or the Fish Hawk, the diet of the Osprey consists almost exclusively of fish. For this reason they can be found near bodies of water such as rivers, marshes, lakes, and seashores.
8 commentsWhat is Raptors | Birds of Prey
The term ‘Raptor’ is derived from the Latin raptor meaning plunderer (from the verb to snatch, seize). Raptors fall into two categories: diurnal raptors (daytime predators) and nocturnal raptors (nighttime predators). The group of diurnal raptors is made up of falcons, Hawks, Eagles, Ospreys, old and new world Vultures, and the secretary birds of Africa; collectively all these are known as the order Falconiformes. The group of nocturnal raptors is made up of Owls.

We thought we knew what to look for with Internet fraud. But this wasn't about our identity, nor did it come from the Internet. Our computer just plain wasn't working right and would frequently tell us that it needed to send another error message. Of course, we sent the messages. They are supposed to help upgrade the systems for everyone, right? At lease we thought so. Then today, we received a phone call from Microsoft.

As one of the most common hawks in North America most of us have probably at one time or another seen one of these majestic birds perched high atop a tree. We are fortunate here in western Massachusetts to have numerous Red Tail Hawks residing in our area and they are a joy to watch whether they are soaring on a current high above us or perched on a tree limb scanning the horizon for their next meal.

Feeding a natural, raw or BARF diet to dogs and cats seems to be common sense, so why would some owners and vets not be partial to the idea?
