I thought since I wrote a lot about the recon road trips we complete as a family to gain insight for my husband for his motor cycling routes, that it might be interesting to know some of our techniques we engage to amuse the kids on these journeys, which can range from a very short trip of around 14 miles approximately 20 minutes to longer journeys of 4 to 8 hours, 100 to 200 miles.As you can see we do like touring the Scottish Highlands!

Nevada City California during the gold rush era and the female gambler Madame Mustache. Her name was Eleanore Dumont. She made money by opening a gambling parlor in Nevada City that attracted hundreds on miners and prospectors. 70Visiting Quebec City
A quick visit to Quebec City, QC gave us the opportunity to catch a few of the old city's gems. Our favorites included the Citadelle and Notre Dame Basilica/Cathedral. We also appreciated the artillery park which housed and manufactured--you guessed it--ammunition. Although mistreated by a few graffiti artists, this is a good stop for history buffs. We were relieved to rest beside canons on grassy topped ramparts overlooking the old part of the city.
