John Frank graduated from the Chicago Art Institure & was hired by the University of Oklahoma. When he started his company he used his last name, Frank with Oklahoma to make Frankoma. The company produced dinnerware lines, serving pieces, commemorative pieces, vases. The showroom was located on Route 66. The pottery suffered a number of setbacks, but closed in 2004
