I was first assigned this book as reading material for the very class taught by Professor Piecuch. Amongst several titles we had to read, the assignment was to choose one and write a review of it. American history is not my forte, nor is it my passion, so needless to say I was not terribly thrilled to choose; I looked at a few books but finally decided on this one.
