Enjoying the Canal du Midi in France!

My family (four adults and two children) went from Austria and New York City to the Canal du Midi in the south of France, to do a boat cruise. We drove the boat ourselves, relaxing as we went past the tree lined canal in summer. We stopped for lunch on a shady spot on the side of the river and went to restaurants on shore in the evening. A very worthwhile experience and one I would recommend to all!
