The rock group Space were a successful indie rock band that found fame in the mid to late 1990s. Their biggest hits were Female of The Species and The Ballad of Tom Jones (a collaboration with Cerys Matthews of Catatonia). They recently re-united for a special gig in Liverpool in late 2011.
