A brief review of the second Hardy Boys book, The House on the Cliff, written by Leslie McFarlane and published in 1927. Also, a review of the 1959 revision. I'm a literature professor who specializes in some of the most complex of British novels, but I never quite got over my love affair for juvenile mystery series.
