Atlas Foundation Acts to Restore Yonkers Boxer’s Dignity
Shamus O'Brien, touted as "Yonkers Favorite" when the popular lightweight Irish boxer battled numerous champions and served as a trial horse for up-and-coming youngsters, will finally have his dignity restored. He died in 1959 without as much as a grave marker. The Atlas Foundation is acting now to restore his long lost dignity.
