Despite rumors that new AM3+ motherboards would need to be purchased for AMD's Bulldozer many of the 8 series of motherboards are indeed AM3+ ready. I'm impressed with AMD's ability to transition from older series models; however, if you're looking to purchase a new motherboard you're better off purchasing a new AM3+ motherboard for better overall performance than those which are simply "compatible".
