Brad and Angie - Amazing Video

Amazing Video of Brad and Angie

Angie lived on the right side of town,

Her family was very genteel.

Brad lived on the other side.

He often had to work for a meal.

They might have never met,

Just passed each other on the street.

But fate stepped in; it often does

They were fated, you know, to meet.

It was a beautiful day,

They were both in the park.

Brad looked Angie’s way

And wham-o there was a spark.

They soon became very good friends

They saw each other every day.

Brad - “I’d like to take you to dinner, Angie.

What do you say?”

Angie - “A dinner date would be nice

Is it formal or not?”

Brad - “You don’t have to dress up

It’s a rather casual spot.”

Below there is a video,

I will not make you wait.

Of this oh-so-charming pair

On their very first date.

Angie and Brad

Thank you, kids, I thought so, too. And thanks for being the first ... in so many ways!

When I first saw the title of this hub in my in-box, I thought oh poor drbj, how have you fallen so low? I came to the page out of sheer loyalty alone -- just want you to know.

Glad I did. What fun! Lynda

I love Angie and Brad the cutest video ever...I am still laughing... and the poem was so cute... thank you for sharing.. MERRY CHRISTMAS

Derdriu 4 years ago

drbj, What a charming and endearing poem about first dates which do not go sour! In particular, I like the touch of a flustered Brad overawed by Angie's vivacious beauty trying to find something clever to say and wiping the sweat from his brow. It's interesting in the video that Angie is first to stuff her napkin into her collar, but then she is far-sighted and gutsy. It also is interesting that the waitress needs to review takeaway skills 101 since she removed Brad's plate so it was in Angie's face!

Thank you for sharing, etc.,

Derdriu

That's the kind of Angie and Brad I can handle - I get so sick of the rest of it and amazing that they are dogs~~ My kind of 'people'.

Thanks for the giggle as usual~

You are just too funny, Lynda. I do appreciate your visiting out of sheer loyalty when you thought I had succumbed to crass materialism. You are indeed a Hubbuddy.

And I am delighted that you had fun. That's the name of the game.

I do enjoy your visits and your comments, Hilary. But laughing so hard you forget to leave a comment? That's a no-no, my dear. No thanks are necessary and cheers backatcha.

Hi, Deborah. Thank you for loving the video, laughing and enjoying the poem. It's my pleasure to share. Each time, I see the video myself, I have to watch the whole thing again. It's addictive!

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a very Happy New Year to you, too.

Somehow I knew, delightful Derdriu, that you would enjoy both this poem and the charming table manners of Angie and Brad.

You noticed how Angie observed the proprieties with her napkin and Brad just enjoyed stuffing his face. As you pointed out, the waitress may not be a professional. But the dogs certainly are. Thanks for the visit and your perceptive comments.

I knew you would appreciate the talent of these clever dogs, Audrey, since you are a professional Dog Whisperer and sometimes Fish Spooker. As soon as I viewed this video I knew instinctively the protagonists reminded me of the Brangelina duo.

You are so welcome for the giggle - any time m'luv.

OMG This is so cute and funny. Thank you for the best laugh i've had today..How anyone was able to pull this off is amazing. They really looked like they were eating with utensils.HaHa

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

That's what I found so amazing, too, Ruby. As you watch the video it appears that Angie and Brad are really eating with utensils. You forget that there are humans underneath those large garments guiding the food into the dogs' mouths.

Delighted you found this cute and funny and you are so welcome for the best laugh. My pleasure, my dear.

This was so funny, drbj, and the video was very clever! I was very puzzled by the fact that you had written a hub about Brad and Angie when I saw my HubPages email - it seemed such a strange choice of topic for you. I had to visit your hub just out of curiosity, and I'm very glad that I did!

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Thanks for loving the disclaimer, Feline. I had to include it ... to protect the two dogs. Heh, heh.

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Isn't it strange, Alicia? I write hubs about Interviews with Undead Celebrities and Weird Animals, I talk to Greek gods and departed movie stars, etc., and no one is surprised.

But if I write about Brad and Angie, my choice of topic is strange. Such is life. Thank you, my dear, for the visit and the funny and clever. I thought so, too.

Oh, I love those two pups. I was actually worried, though, that they would get stuck in the eye with those knives and forks. I wanted them to just do their doggie thing and scarf their dinner down with abandon!!! As always, drjb, you've provided your readers with a real feast.

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

You are spot on, Amy, that was my concern, too. There were a few near misses. But the dogs were brilliant. Thank you for enjoying this, as you so cleverly put it, 'real feast.'

I,m sure they went on to make beautiful puppies between them. Such well mannered dogs as well. I've known people with worse table manners.

Nono and Sia, or Brad and Angie have better manners than they do at the local cafeteria. Delightful drbj! Gonna send this one out on the FB. Just for the heck of it- notice the Swiss flags in the background but the English speak from the diners!

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

You are absolutely on the mark, Martie. Whoever trained these lovable dogs is one heck of a dog trainer. Brad and Angie are so well behaved. With almost impeccable table manners. :) Delighted that my sense of humor is your delight. May it ever be thus.

drbj profile image

The entertainment is on me, VioletSun. Thank you for the funny. Brad and Angie say, "Woof." That means thanks, too.

It is always my extreme pleasure to hear from you, pras. Delighted you found this video cute and funny. Me, too. Also happy that I filled your day with smiling. What a lovely thing to say. Thank you.

Talent that never ends and always "on fire"? Wow! I'll have to keep working to live up to that, pras. Thanks for the votes. Hope the New Year brings you nothing but the best.

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Thanks for dropping in, christopher. Brad and Angie thank you for the 'well mannered' compliment. Yes, they do have better table manners than a number of people I know, too. Wonder if they are the same folks.

Speaking of beautifil puppies, Angie may be enceinte, I'll let you know.

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Hi, Alastar. The dogs have better manners than the folks at the local cafeteria? Seems christopher and you and I all know the same folks.

Thanks for finding this delightful and I do appreciate your spreading the word on FB. I did see the Swiss flags on the credenza behind the doggies. Did you notice that the woman in the video made a special effort to display them?

Alastar Packer profile image

Now that you mention it she was at that drbj! What got me was the background voices appeared to be in English. The Germans and Swiss sure do love their dogs and this great video is proof of it.

Thank you, Colin, for finding the video fabulous. Me, too. I've watched it a number of times and find it hilarious each time.

You already know how much I appreciate your posting my hubs to FB - you are truly a genuine Hubbuddy.

About your cats - I dunno if showing them this video is a good idea. On the other hand, if you keep utensils out of their reach, it could be okay.

Thank you, Susan, for loving the introduction. Brad and Angie gave it their seal of approval, too.

drbj,

epi has never steered me wrong! This is absolutely precious, so much that I had to ask my 'brilliant' Yellow Lab, Aunt Baby, to join me for a review of this hysterical video.

So nice to meet you-- voted UP & FAB, mar.

How nice to meet you, too, mar. That Epi - I meet so many lovely folks through him. Delighted you found this precious and FAB and thank you for the up.

Love the name of your brlliant yellow Lab - Aunt Baby - what an ingenious name.

Drbj - so funny - I can't imagine my dogs sitting there that patiently - they would be face first into the bowl! lol I thought it might have been plastic food at first. They have great table manners:)

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

I got that same impression, Kelly, what patience it must have taken to train those two clever dogs. And whoever did the training was pretty clever, too. Delighted you enjoyed this. Have a wonderful Holiday and New Year.

Hi, tim, hope you don't mind my shortening your name. Thanks for the visit and appreciating my poetry. I appreciate you, too. Happy New Year!

tlmcgaa70 profile image

tlmcgaa70 4 years ago from south dakota, usa

nope, i dont mind at all...except you might want to put a L where you put the I...it is kind of hard to tell the difference in lower case i know...and it is my fault because unless i am writing something specific i use all lower cases (can we say lazy, lol). i loved your peom...and you have a wonderful new years to.

Great poem and hilarious video. I can't believe how good that video turned out. Wonder how they did it. Thanks for the fun hub drbj :-)

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Dear TLM - please accept my profuse apologies for misspelling the shortening of your name. Of course, that is an 'l' and if you hadn't pointed it out, I would still be laboring under a misconception. Not an easy thing to labor under.

It still looks like an 'i' to me but now I know better. And don't call yourself lazy, m'dear, I do the same thing to conserve energy and time when I type a ' instead of a ". Thanks for loving the poem.

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Me, too, Linda, I wonder how many takes it took to make that amazing video. Then again, the dogs were probably professionals. Heh, heh. It was my pleasure to share that fun video with you.

tlmcgaa70 profile image

tlmcgaa70 4 years ago from south dakota, usa

my goodness drbj...there is absolutely NOTHING to forgive...i completely understand. my eyesight is bad so i am very guilty of making the same mistakes. but i am lazy...i must prop the keyboaed against the wall to keep my cats from stepping on it...and sometimes i feel i MUST respond to some comment here or in facebook, but instead of taking the keyboard down i type one finger at a time while it sits as it is...you can imagine when i do this my comments are short and sweet, lol...

drbj profile image

drbj 4 years ago from south Florida Author

Now that I know your name, Tammy, I shall make a special effort to spell it correctly. Promise. That is some gyration you must go through when typing on a keyboard propped against the wall. Don't think I could manage that!

tlmcgaa70 profile image

tlmcgaa70 4 years ago from south dakota, usa

lol...you are right and i often ask myself am i really saving any energy by doing it the hard way? one has to wonder, lol.

Yes, Tammy, m'dear, one do. But I will accept comments written any way one chooses. Promise.
