Android phones with Dual SIM

See the list of Android phones with Dual SIM available in the market. Even though new options like number portability came, most of us still have at least two SIM in active use. So far there was not much selection for dual SIM phones when it comes to Android smartphones. But now there is a considerable variety of dual sim android phones to choose from. The price range varies from 3K to 16K

Spice Mi-270 (Rs. 3600)

Currently it is the cheapest Android dual SIM phone available in the market. It runs on a 600MHz processor common in low end Android smartphones. It is dual SIM standby phone (both GSM). This phone is running on Android 2.2.

The main point that we should consider about this phone is that, it offers all the features that you can find in smartphones. It comes with wifi, GPS, Android, a good processor, 2MP camera etc.

The touch screen of this phone is 2.8 inch resistive touch screen. So touch response will be poor. The resolution of 240x320 is common in low end smartphones. The battery of 1000mAh is poor. It is not capable of powering a dual SIM smartphone for a very long time. Charging daily will become a must.

Micromax Superfone Ninja A50 ( Rs.4900)

It is one of the latest dual SIM Android phones available in India. As it is the latest it offers some features that you can find only in high priced previously released phone. The main attraction of this phone is the customized personal digital assistant app 'AISHA' in the phone. Micromax is advertising the phone, showing this app in the front. It runs on a powerful 650Mhz processor. 3.1 inch capacitive screen with resolution 240x320 offers clear images in a responsive screen. 2MP camera is also good enough at this price. Internal memory of the phone is only 200MB, but Android version 2.3 Gingerbread offers installation of apps in memory card. Battery of 1200mAh is also enough to support the phone for one day.

Spice MI 280 (Rs. 5300)

It is another low budget Android phone, from Spice with dual SIM facility. It is a very good phone with very good features, in which we cannot find any drawbacks except in the low capacity battery.

It is running on a 650MHz processor with Android 2.3. The 2.8 inch capacitive screen is of good response as it is of capacitive technology. Also the resolution of 240x320 is common in this price range. The primary camera of 3.2MP is of moderately good quality.

An excellent feature about this phone is that, there is a secondary camera of 0.3MP allowing you to make video call. It is not common in Android phones priced below 10k. Battery is the only drawback. It is of 1000mAh. Which is less that average. When it coming to powering two SIMs, intervals between charges will become small

iBall ANDi (Rs.6300)

This phone is from iBall, trying to get their grip in Indian market in smartphones. But ANDi is a phone with a very low capacity processor. It runs on a 416MHz processor and Android 2.2. Many users are complaining that the phone is hanging once you have open two or three apps. 3.2 inch capacitive screen is responsive enough. But the 1000mAh battery is of not enough capacity to run this large screen and two SIMs for long time.

3MP camera is also not bad. But the lack of a good processor is a killing drawback, as you cannot find a processor of capacity less than 600MHz in Android phones. But excluding this it has the power of Android and dual SIM. Also all the features that make a phone smart like wifi connectivity, GPS etc are available in this phone also

Spice Mi350n (Rs. 7800)

This is another very nice phone from Spice offering you a secondary camera and dual SIM feature. It posses a 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen. Its higher resolution(320x480) compared to similarly priced phone lets its display stand out. 3.2MP Primary camera is auto focus also. Also the presence of 0.3 MP secondary camera make video calling possible.

Its battery capacity is also considerable. 1400mAh is enough compared to 1000mAh of other similar phones. So in an outer look you cannot find any drawbacks in this phone. The only thing that you may not like is the brand Spice. But feature wise there is no phone in any price near to it.

Micromax superfone Lite A75 (Rs.8900)

It is the competitor of Spce Mi35n. Features are almost the same. It also offers a secondary camera of 0.3MP and dual SIM facility. 3.75inch capacitive touch screen is of resolution 320x480 which is above average in this price range. Overall phone build quality is also more good and phone is more stylish also.

Processor is of 650MHz and it runs on Android 2.3. Primary camera of 3MP with LED flash is of good quality. It posses a RAM of 256MB, which provides multitasking features. Battery of 1300mAh is also adjustable. Anyway for all smartphones you will have to charge daily. The phone comes with a lot of pre installed apps, which cannot be removed even if you do not want it. But as app installation to memory card is possible it isn't a serious problem

LG Optimus Net Dual P698 (Rs.10500)

It can be considered as a perfect Android dual SIM phone from the reliable brand of LG. So far there was phones of Spice and Micromax. But LG is considered as more reliable as a phone manufacturer. Moreover the features of the phone are also promising. It comes with a 800MHz processor and 512MB of RAM and ROM. So performance and multitasking will be superb.

Camera is 3MP with autofocus. The display of 320x480 resolution and 3.2 inch capacitive screen is above average in this price range. Also the battery of 1500mAh is also capable of delivering enough power for a dual SIM phone for a long time. So overall it is just a superb Android dual SIM phone in which you cannot find any flaws

Motorola Milestone XT800 (RS.16000)

It offers dual SIM feature with both GSM and CDMA. So if you have both of these active SIMs , this phone seems like the only option available. But it comes with an average processor of 550MHz processor only.But as there is a separate graphics processor, video and gaming performance will be of good quality and processor power can be used entirely for non graphics purpose. So even this processing capability enables the phone to work really fast.

Camera in this phone is just superb. This 5MP auto focus camera with 720p HD recording offers you superb images. The display of 3.7inch capacitive screen of resolution 480x854 offers crystal clear display. Also you can play 720p HD videos in the phone. So enjoying movies in the phone will be easy.

It runs on Android 2.1, which does not allow you to install apps in memory card. But the presence of 1GB internal memory solves the problem. The battery of 1400mAh is of average capacity only, as you are paying double amount of most of the other phones listed above, it is not wrong to expect more battery capacity.
