Choosing my iPAD
Confused on what to choose between iPad with wifi or iPad with wifi+cellular?
Choosing my iPad has been quite confusing especially that the budget is a bit conservative. Thus, I have to research and read forums in order for me not to regret later. Whether to choose an ipad3 with wifi or ipad3 with wifi+cellular or maybe even ipad2.
Things I considered to get my money's worth:
Lifestyle - I have an unlimited wifi connection at home, meaning I won't need the one with cellular when in the house. The only time I leave the house without my son is when I go to the office. And I never bring the ipad with me coz it has no use there considering that it is bulky and I don't want to carry a big bag. We usually eat in a restaurant and if I want, then I can tether with my hubby's cell or use their wifi.If you're a student with no wifi in the boarding house, it's best to choose iPad with cellular.
Who is mostly to use it - I got convinced buying it anyway when I saw how useful it is for my 4 year old son. The interactive stories and tracing letters are just a few of the many educational kid stuffs.
My only use:I like keeping grocery list and recipes here coz of it's longer battery span compared with netbooks. I input my grocery lists in the reminders since I am always with my son when I shop. Also, since I am not a kitchen expert, I input here recipes too so I will be able to shop for the ingredients whenever I feel like cooking.
Through some research, I found out that the main difference with ipad2 and ipad3 is that ipad3 has an enhanced graphics display called retina display. Which specifically means I can also watch movies here when I want to.With their price difference of less than 6k, I ended up with ipad3 wifi only and I never regret it.
As an additional note, when you opt to buy this item include in your budget the basics: front screen protector and the type of casing. It cost me Php1500 for the protector and Php2000 for the case, Targus slim type.
