Command Prompt Disabled by Virus : How to Fix or Enable Virus Affected Command Prompt?

All types of modern virus are very harmful and dangerous for your computer. Most of the viruses are spreading through pen drives and networks. All the viruses are strong enough to change the registry value of your Windows operating system. It's the common problem that the viruses disabled the command prompt. The main reason to disable command prompt is because if it can disable command prompt then you can't execute several commands to kill or clean them. So, many viruses always try to disable the command prompt. If it could disable command prompt, you can't open command prompt. Sometimes, the viruses only disable all the commands to execute when you give the commands. For this case, you can easily open the command prompt. But you can't give any command to there. This page contains the information related to enable command prompt.

This is for Windows 7 ( not testet on winXP ):

Type "regedit" in your START \ search \

In your registry windows find : "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1730878657-1531357687-3940112314-1000\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System" ; open "DisableCMD" and change the hexadecimal value from "1" to "0" ( zero ).

Hope this works for you too.
