What to look for in a home theater system:
- A complete home-theater kit usually comes with five speakers, a subwoofer, a receiver, and a Blu-ray / DVD player, with the last 2 parts often combined into a single component. All those components with their cables may clutter up the room, there are also very good systems with less components available.
- How many Watts the system use is an indication of how loud it can go. 70 Watt systems are generally loud enough.
- Video and Audio inputs and outputs: Make sure the system you get has some extra video and audio input ports, to connect your video games or satellite dish to the system.
The Sony BDV-E770W is a more compact system, suitable for more cramped rooms like a bedroom. This entertainment system can connect to the internet through your home WiFi network and download movies from Netflix and Youtube.

The Blu-ray player plays movies in full HD 1080p, and supports 3D Blu-ray Discs. The system also has an iPod dock. You can synchronize your Ipod or Iphone with the system and use it as a remote.
The most distinguishing feature, of this system is Sony's 'S-Air' wireless audio protocol. This allows for the wireless rear speakers. This is part of the basic package. It does not cost anything extra, as is the case with several other systems on offer.
The video and sound quality, provided by the system is very crisp.
