How to Force Windows to Restart in Safe Mode Without Keyboard
Whenever we need to enter to Safe Mode in Windows, we have to press F8 at the start of the Windows after every boot which is the standard recommended procedure for starting the safe mode. But sometimes we might need to open safe mode repeatedly for work purpose and you can't continuously keep on pressing the F8 button every time you need it.
To keep things simple, we are giving you a detailed way to restart Windows in safe mode without using F8. Once this setup has been enabled Windows always boot in Safe mode until you turn off this feature.
Go to Start menu and type msconfig in the search box and press Enter to get the System Configuration properties window. Now go to the Boot tab on the window and select Safe Mode and make sure to keep the Minimal option ticked in the radio buttons given there. Once the OK button has been pressed you will see a pop up asking you to Restart Windows now.
You can restart your PC then itself or can boot it later after saving your work, either way the followup restart will automatically take you to the Safe Mode directly without pressing F8 from keyboard. Check the corners of the screen to confirm that you are in safe mode. Make the necessary changes and finish your work in safe mode.
Return from Safe Mode to Normal Mode:
Well once you are done with your work in safe mode and fixed all your problems, you can turn off the Safe Mode in boot options tab to get the normal Windows startup. You need to follow the same steps as above to get to the System Configuration Window and uncheck the tick in Safe Boot to get back to regular Windows after restart.
Sometimes even after you turned off safe mode, you won't be able to get normal Windows. In such cases, go to General tab in System Configuration and change the "Selective Startup" selection to Normal Startup to get rid of the problem.
