How To Copy Excel Chart Formatting Between Documents

1. Open both the new chart and the chart you want to duplicate in format.
2. Left click once on the chart whose format is to be duplicated. To copy the format, you can either select "Edit - Copy" from the menu bar or use "Control" and "C" buttons in combination.
3. From the Copy options, select "Edit - Paste Special". The "Paste Special Dialog" box opens. Click on the "Formats" button. Then click on "OK".
4. When you paste special in this way, the formatting of the origination chart copy to the destination chart.

Another option is to save the document with the chart under a new name and then modify the spreadsheet to include the new information or data.
