Logitech ClearChat Review

The logitech clearchat comfort USB headset is a very popular headset due to the easy plug and play features as well as great sound quality. I've been using the logitech clearchat for around 6 months and it has been trouble free. :)

Headset Build -Comfort

You will notice the logitech clearchat headset is not a cheap imitation headset and is definitely built very sturdily and strong and there's no chance of snapping it.

The clearchat headphones come with lots of cushioning and padding to give hours of painfree operation. The Earphones are surrounded by a nice thick layer of padding as well as padding across the bar that lies flat across your head makes it very comfortable to wear.

Logitech ClearChat - Setup

The great thing about the logitech clearchat is that you get to skip all those different colored audio plugs, and the plug and play USB feature allows you to plug it straight into the USB slot and have it up and running in seconds.

First time Setup

The first time to start up the logitech clearchat , plug it in and then wait a few moments for your operating system to recognize the device and install the appropriate plug and play drivers. Once this process has been completed once you will have no trouble.

When you plug it in you will hear a little beep noise and then the headset will be ready to use. You dont need to disable your computer speakers or anything like that the headset will be given first priority once plugged in. If there are any problems always check out Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices. Here you can set your primary sound device for recording, listening and setup other features.

Noise Cancellation

The clearchat headset comes with noise cancellation features making it great to use in a noisy room or block out those annoying traffic noises outside.

Controls & Cord Length

The headset also comes with easy to use controls found on the leed, here you can choose to increase or decrease the volume instead of going into your sound properties.

There is also a button you can press to mute the microphone so you don't accidentally blurt something out, and the mute button will flash when activated.

Microphone and Sound Quality

Technical Specifications

  • Frequency response:
    Headset: 20 Hz–20 kHz
    Microphone: 100 Hz–10 kHz
  • Input sensitivity: -62 dBV/µbar, -42 dBV/Pa +/- 3 dB

The sound quality for the logitech clearchat is very crisp and clear, and does pack a bit of bass for quite a small headset. Along with the nosie cancellation features make it a very enjoyable listening experience.

Microphone- The microphone is great and is really great for people into using VoIP services such as Skype , Google talk , voice chat on msn and its not one of those microphones that distorts or changes your voice.
