10 Amazing Things You Have To Know About Motorola DROID X

The Motorola Droid X makes another excellent addition to Verizon's Android family, bringing with it the best multimedia experience and a lot of other useful connectivity features.

The smartphone is equipped with a brilliant 4.3-inch touch screen display that offers the same 854 x 480 pixel resolution as the original DROID, and offers some amazing multimedia features, including an 8-megapixel camera with HD video capture, HDMI output, and DLNA support.

Lacking the keyboard of the original DROID, the new Motorola DROID X comes with a multi-touch capable virtual keyboard as well as the gesture based SWYPE keyboard that has been gaining recognition among smartphone users. It is amazingly accurate and fast.

Verizon packages the Motorola Droid X with an AC adapter, a USB cable, a 16GB microSD card, and reference material.

The Motorola DROID X is equipped with some great features that significantly improve both call quality and data capabilities. Along with those are "high performance diversity antennas" and three separate microphones, one of which is devoted to picking up the noise around so that it can be filtered out of conversations.

Droid X Design

Motorola Droid X hasĀ  a beautiful 4.3-inch touch screen display, measuring 5 inches tall by 2.6 inches wide by 0.4 inch thick and 5.47 ounces. Although it looks somehow big, you may be surprised at how light the phone fells in the hand.

Below the display, you get the four standard Android physical shortcut buttons: menu, home, back, and search. They are hard buttons and not touch-sensitive. I am sure most people would love that.

There are some control buttons on the right side: volume rocker and camera activation and capture button.

On top of the phone, there is power/lock button as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the Micro-USB port and the HDMI port on the left.

The EV-DO 3G data capability of the DROID X can be shared through a mobile hotspot service. The phone's data connection can be shared with up to 5 different Wi-Fi devices at once.
