Features

The new 2015 Kindle Fire, 7 inch display with 8 GB is now only $39.99 plus free shipping with a premium account. What a bargain!

Some of its great features are that is has rear and front-facing cameras. It is available in four colors: black, blue, purple and red. With the Kindle Fire, you get access to the Amazon Underground, an App store with more than $20,000 in apps; games and even in-app items are free - including extra lives, unlocked levels, unlimited add-on packs and more. There are millions of movies, TV shows, songs, books, apps and games. In addition, free unlimited cloud storage is available for all Amazon content and photos taken with Fire devices. A microSD card can be added for up to 128 GB of additional storage.

The new 2015 Kindle Fire is pretty amazing for the small price of $39.99. It has a 7" touchscreen, with 1024 x 600 resolution at 171 ppi, SD video playback, with IPS (in-plane switching) technology and an advanced polarizing filter. It weighs only 11 ounces and comes with 8 GB of internal storage. A larger 16 GB of internal storage can be purchased for $59.99. The battery life is around 7 hours - wow! It states in the product description that this time can vary but I have found that 7 hours is just about right. The unit fully charges in under 6 hours using the micro-USB power adapter that comes with the Kindle Fire.

Ratings

The Kindle Fire has a 4 star rating by over 54,000 customers. It is no wonder it is a number 1 bestseller. I noticed that the price is usually $49.99 for the Kindle Fire 7 inch display with 8 GB, however, the price often goes down by $10 if you just wait and check back. It seems like it has been about 3 weeks since I saw it at this low price of only $39.99. You may also be able to get same-day FREE shipping, which I did! So great

A Useful Tool

I use my Kindle Fire for several things. I check my email often - it is quick and easy. My laptop takes minutes to start-up versus the Kindle which takes about 1 second. This comes in handy when I am in a hurry and need to check my email quickly. I also read the news and current topics using the news app that is already installed. I love the FREE games, mostly strategy games for me (trying to keep my mind young), but I also like the mindless games, especially if I am having trouble getting to sleep. I absolutely love reading books on my Kindle Fire. I download them from the public library and I access the FREE books on Amazon. I read a variety of books and magazines and am always surprised by the great selection offered. I watched my first television episode of Orphan Black which I was unable to watch for free on cable television. My Amazon Prime account gave me free access to the first 3 seasons. The picture was amazingly clear and vivid. I am thrilled with my new Kindle Fire and am really looking forward to exploring all of the apps and features.

Kindle Fire Accessories

There are a few accessories you will want to purchase for your new Kindle Fire. The accessories that I have found you must have are:

  • An attractive durable cover or case. A protective case is a must because if and when you drop your Kindle, the case will protect it and keep it safe from harm. Also, because the Kindle Fire is slim and flat, the case will make it easier to hold onto and also easier to find.
  • A screen protector for the touch screen. The glass on top of the Kindle Fire can get scratched and at the very least, covered with smudges and fingerprints. A screen protectore will protect the glass top and can quickly be replaced with a new protective cover as needed.
  • A stylis. A stylis comes in handy when highlighting text, playing certain games, and when dealing with small text on the web and in emails. They also keep the surface cleaner as they don't carry the dirt that your fingertips do.

Kindle Fire accessories are at bargain prices when purchased in a bundle. The one pictured here is a great deal. The contents contain:

1 x Folio PU Leather case
1 x 6.5 feet cable
1 x Wool felt sleeve bag
1 x Stylus Pen
2 x Screen protectors
1 x Llamamia microfiber cleaning cloth
