PHP The Great

Source

I love the programming language PhP. What is PhP? It is a really popular language for the WWW and its technical name is Hypertext Preprocessr. It came out in 1995, and it used to stand for Personal Home Pages.

I'll show you a sampling of PhP. This particular piece of code deals with arrays. In programming lingo, an array is a mean to store a collection of values in a single variable.

$dans_languages[0] = "HTML/CSS";

$dans_languages[1] = "T-SQL";

$dans_languages[2] = "PhP";

echo "Dan learned about various programming languages while in school. Below are three examples, in consecutive order.";

echo "

";

echo $dans_languages[0];

echo "

";

echo $dans_languages[1];

echo "

";

echo $edans_languages[2];

?>

The above code will output this text:

Dan learned about various programming languages while in school. Below are three examples, in consecutive order.

HTML/CSS

T_SQL

PhP

As you can see, echo basically means "say this". I recommend learning SQL in addition if you plan on learning PhP.
