If you have photos or pictures in your collection, and you are a photographer, image enthusiast, or web developer then resizing images will be important to you.

When you resize images you will probably want a larger or a smaller version.

If your doing some image manipulation then whatever your needs are its handy to have a good and fast program to resize images if you are resizing lots of images at the same time.

Fast image resizer is this very program. Its a freeware program so it is free!

Its very lightweight, and installs quickly, and once installed has a small window which you drag and drop your files into to change the size from a menu shown on the screen. There is a list of the most popular image sizes including 1024x768 1600x1200 but you can add your own.

Fast image resizer can read JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG, TIFF and HD Photo (.wdp, .hdp) files, and is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

 

The options button is also just as simple, with 3 different image saving options including .jpg .bmp and .png with options to also change the ,jpg quality.

You can select your image to be rotated also, and also choose if you would like to just overwrite the existing images, or save them to a new folder. Fast image resizer also allows you to add any new changes to the file name automatically including the size of the image, and the date.

Fast image resizer also supports duel and quad core processing, so if you have a newwer PC, it will get the resizing of your pictures done even quicker.
