A Very Cool Smart Phone

I will be the first to admit that I am not much of a "techie" but I felt like reviewing the Samsung Mesmerize Galaxy S phone. This is my first smart phone and I absolutely love it. The Samsung Mesmerize is an Android powered phone provided exclusively by US Cellular.

The Mesmerize is the thinnest smart phone on the market. This phone is thinner than the IPhone. It features a Super Amoled touchscreen that is both very vibrant in color and conserves the battery life. The Mesmerize has built in apps like Facebook, Gmail, Accuweather, and YouTube. The video capabilities are HD quality clear when viewing clips from YouTube. Plus, being on the Android system, you have the capability of choosing over 70,000 apps from music, games, news, and sports.

One of my favorite features of the Mesmerize is Swype. Swype allows you to glide your finger across the keyboard to spell out your words. It is so much better to text using Swype. I have never been much of a texter on my phones but with Swype on the Mesmerize, allows to text easier. Also, there is a voice activated feature that types what you command if you are texting someone. This is good for those who want to send a text but cannot while they are driving. I do not recommend texting and driving at the same time.

You can merge all of your contacts via email, Facebook, and Twitter together which makes life on this phone so much easier. Web browsing is very good on this phone. I have pulled up many sites like the local newspaper and businesses and it has great resolution on this smart phone.

The phone features 5.0 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The battery power is very good with up to 7 hours of talk time. I have been able to go two or three days before charging up the phone.

I can say too that my wife and I have been impressed with this phone. Our provider, US Cellular, offers one of the best service plans around with the Belief Project. The Belief Project allows customers of US Cellular to rewards programs to help upgrade new phones fasters, one and done contracts, battery swap if your battery is low and you do not have your charger handy, and my contacts backup so you will not lose all of your contacts.

The Samsung Mesmerize is an impressive phone. My wife and I kept going back and forth whether to go with an IPhone, Blackberry Torch, or the Mesmerize. The Mesmerize is simple to use and my humble opinion the best smart phone on the market. The Android system has an impressive lineup of phones from all carriers. So, if you are looking for a good smart phone, I would do your research and go to www.uscellular.com.
