SQL Terms : keyword, Clause and Statement

Some part of the SQL statement is known as Clause. Generally, each clause is written one line. But there is no hard rule like that.
Example of Clause: A clause may like the following
SELECT studentID, Department
An individual SQL element is known as SQL keyword. Many books and people often say that all the letters of keyword will be capitalized. But it doesn't have any impact on SQL query. You may you lower case letter to write keywords.
Examples of keyword: SELECT, FROM etc. are keywords.
A statement is the combination of two or more clauses. Statement has the full meaning. By using statement all types of query are retrieved form Oracle database. Statement always ends with one semicolon.
Example of statement:: One example of statement is given below:
SELECT studentID, Department
