Setting a Wallpaper on Samsung Galaxy SIII
Changing your Wallpaper
If you've recently purchase a Samsung Galaxy S3 or any other similar smartphone you'll probably be impressed by it's great screen quality. Before you show it off to your friends make sure you customize your wallpapers at a very minimum.
Here I'll show you how to perform a very simple Home Screen wallpaper change, though this method will work for changing both the home and lock screens.
First step is to enter the settings menu on your Galaxy S3. Click the lowest left button on your handset, and hit "Settings".
Once you're in the Android settings menu, hit "Wallpaper".
In the wallpaper menu, you can choose to change either the home screen, lock screen or both.
Next you can select the photo you want to use as your wallpaper. I created a bunch of my own from wallpapers I already had on my computer, and transferred them to my phone with Kies.
You can edit your wallpaper by size once you select it, though if you use one of the correct size already just hit "Done" without editing to keep it at full resolution.
If you want to make your own wallpapers for the SIII, then you need to use a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, which is the device's native resolution. I could do a whole tutorial on how to make the wallpapers yourself if anyone's interested.
I used a nice brightly colored, high contrast, exact resolution picture, and it really shows off the screen of my new phone. People with iPhones are always amazed by the screen quality when they compare phones !
