Surviving The Internet Jungle
Through much prayer and meditation I write this hub. As a victim of fraud, deception, scams and trolls on the world-wide web, I feel that people need to be more aware.
First, let me say to you all out there, don't believe everything you read on the internet. Just because something is at the top of Google search doesn't mean it is true.
Some people have become so trusting of answers on the internet that if it said 2+2=16 they would believe it. Check the sources, and be skeptical. There are millions of scams and tricks on the internet meant to entice you into selling your soul to the internet jungle. Don't fall for it.
The government has tried to put barriers in place to mend a lot of this. The government cannot be allowed to do this, but it takes people being more aware and other people to stop the BS they are doing on the internet.
Some of the headlines:
Alexandra V. Tobias (22) was interrupted playing the online game “Farmville” by her crying 3-month old son. She she shook him like a rattle ‘till he cried no more.
4. Social Network Harassment
Well-liked Alexis Skye Pilkington (17) graduated early from high school. Then came the onslaught of vicious and cruel post on Facebook. She’s gorgeous, smart and athletic… did envy play a part? She was found in her bedroom in an eternal sleep.
9. Mistaken Identity
Megan Meier (13) was befriend by a fictitious persona “Josh Evans” created by a neighbor to keep tabs on gossip about her own daughter. After a month long relationship the neighbor/Josh posted cruel remarks on MySpace about Megan and Megan was no more.
14. Cyber Troll
Justine Jones (22) was the subject of hate web page created by a fictitious person named Wendy Woods created by cyber troll Jessica C. Cook (22). Justin was thereafter murdered. Was it a coincidence? Cook is off to troll in jail.
These are just a few. Everyday there are divorces, suicides, murders and families breaking apart because of stupidity on the internet.
I have had my share of these very things. Some of the people who have committed trolling activities against me read these and you know who you are. May you "get a life!"
When my 23 month old Grandson was killed, I actually had trolls say things like, "how do we know you didn't do it" even though it was stated all over the news who and where in which I was nowhere around. One troll told me I should go kill the person who did it. That would have done a lot of good, huh?
I watch and hear jealous trolls trying to ruin relationships by telling lies.
I see people photo-shopping their pictures to be someone they are not.
There are people who say they are doctors, nurses and lawyers who have probably never amounted to anything in life and may only have a 10th grade education.
To all these people I say, grow up and think before writing and posting on the internet.
I just wrote a hub about controlling anger and I am trying very hard to control my anger with this.
I hope people will read this and think. I hope they will look in a mirror and say: "Is Froggy talking about me?".
Think before you write, post or gossip about what you saw on Facebook, Twitter or even HubPages. It may come back and bite you!
With that I must say: Say NO to government interference! The link is below.
