View Passwords in Firefox: How to See Firefox Saved Password?

Lots of methods are present to view or recover password from the browser like Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Internet Explorer. How to recover passwords from your browse? I personally face this type of problem yesterday when I don't remember the password of my Gmail account. For security reasons, I generally, change my Gmail password every week and I use Firefox browser to login my Gmail account and Firefox save that. But I forgot the last changed password and I face problem to figure out. But I found a solution and I easily recover the password of my Gmail easily. Normally, for all the browsers, the password field is in asterisks mark i.e. you can't generally read the letters behind asterisks. But it's not true. Using the simple methods of this page you can easily extract or figure out or recover the password easily.

If I’ve forgotten the master password, don't worry if you forget that password. You can easily view the contents of password fields by simply entering a single line of java-script code. Just find the java-script code, copy that code and paste that code to the browser address bar and hit Enter key of your keyboard:

javascript:(function(){var s,F,j,f,i; s = ""; F = document.forms; for(j=0; j<F.length; ++j) { f = F[j]; for (i=0; i<f.length; ++i) { if (f[i].type.toLowerCase() == "password") s += f[i].value + "\n"; } } if (s) alert("Passwords in forms on this page:\n\n" + s); else alert("There are no passwords in forms on this page.");})();

When you have finished to put the above java-script code to the browser address bar and hit enter key of your keyboard, a dialog box will prompt and your password is shown like the following!

This method which is mentioned in this page, works on Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox (Firefox), Netscape and Opera. Actually, when you get to know about this method, you may feel that even Firefox master password is rather useless because anyone can figure out by simply the java-script code. Turning off javascript will protect you from this hack but then you might face problems viewing websites that uses javascript. So, it is recommended that don't save your password in the public computer.

Hopefully, following the above mentioned ways you can easily figure out the password of your account. This method is really helpful for some time. The great thing is that recovering the password, do not need any type of special software or techniques. Just use the line of code and that's all. Thus you can easily view passwords of the browser.
