Wacom Bamboo Fun small (4/6) Graphic Tablet Review
Using Graphic tablets has become very common for cartoonists, artists or even for a new learner who loves to sketch or draw the doodles or anything to represent their own original artwork. Graphic tablet is basically a computer device that comes with a pen and a pad which, when used, gives the user the feeling of using pen/pencil to draw in the paper, while sketching in the computer. It also allows the users to give the personal touch to their work with handwritten writings and signatures directly written in the computer. It has almost replaced the mouse used traditionally for it being easy to use, mainly for art work. Drawing with Wacom Bamboo fun makes the new artist's work easy and quick to do. However once used to, it is as liked to be used as a mouse for doing any navigations, such as web browsing, in the computer just as a regular mouse.
If you have been using pen and paper to draw your art or to sketch, and you feel comfortable using pencil and paper, with bamboo you can directly draw into the computer and don't have to worry about the hassle of scanning your work. This will definitely increase your productivity with such cheap price.
What is on the package
Bamboo fun comes with the following items:
- A USB cable for us to connect it to the computer.
- A Multitouch pad.
- A slim pen with left and right click button built in the middle of it.
- 3 spare pen nibs,
- A quick installation guide (information about how to set up the tablet),
- A driver installation CD.

- A stand to hold the pen vertically, and

- It is very light and thin to carry.
- The pad has paper like 4/6 space to do creativity.
- Touch finger ring (to zoom in and out, and scrolling)
- Back and forward button.
- Two functionality buttons,
Colour: black, white, silver and blue.
Why do I use it:
I have used the Bamboo pen for about a year and I am loving it. I used to struggle drawing with normal mouse. I was actually frustrated and looked for alternatives to draw and found about Wacom and their Bamboo pens. I read few reviews and finally decided to bought it. Wacom is a recognized comapny worldwide and are trusted by many users for buying Graphic Tablets manufactured by them.
For a general junior artist like me, it has helped me a lot to increase my productivity. For drawing or sketching or for even for making simple doodles, it is very quick to do with it. It definitely gave me the feeling of drawing in the paper using pencil which is why I so loved it. It is extremely easy to use in the programs such as Photoshop. This tablet adds a flare and lots of creativity to your artwork.
I haven't tried any other graphic tablet, but once I bought the Bamboo fun I didn't feel like I need to look for any other Graphic tablets as it is enough for me to do my artworks.
Price: It is an inexpensive tablet. As it is the small size, it costs around $99 Aus Dollar. I think it is really a cheap price to pay for if you are really new onto drawing or sketching.
The pen: The pen has a thin nib at the top and thick nib at the bottom to draw and to click if you need to steer around. It also has right and left click button in the middle which makes it easier to used for both as a pen to sketch or as a general mouse that you have been using for navigating or for other needs in the computer.
The pad: The surface of the pad covers the whole screen which might take you a little while to get used to work with, but once you get used to it after few uses you will not like to switch back to mouse. The size of pad is little bit small, but I didn't paid for the big one or expensive one, so I have no regrets.
Easy to use
Takes bit of pracitce to be comfortable using it (about a week if using everyday) if you were using mouse to navigate around
Small pad surface
Light weight/ portable
No batteries to change
No cord in pen to get into way
Pressure sensitivity is programmable
