Do you agree that the internet isn't good for ignorant?
The italian historian and writer Umberto Eco said that the internet isn't good for ignorant because, in his opinion, they don't know the difference between the things with and without value.
Isn't good for ignorant what? The internet isn't a they ,it is an entity. And in my opinio it is very useful, if used in a smart and constructive manner, to obtain information at a fast pace. It allows us to free up our time and spend more time doing things we love to do due to being able to research and write papers and articles more efficiently.
I think it can be useful, if taken in the right context, and with a grain of salt. I think it can be harmful if people believe everything they read without evaluating the sources. I'm hesitant to call anyone "ignorant" but, let's say they were? There's a lot of misinformation out there that can really sway people in the wrong way if they aren't careful. Like any technology I think the internet should be used with caution, and eyes wide open.
