   What is one thing that hate you about Facebook, or social networking, in general?
   
   I think atleast 3 times a week I think about deleting my Facebook. Do people bug me with their need to get excessive attention for the most ridiculous things? What do you hate about Facebook? What are some reasons why you don't have a Facebook?

   I believe Facebook is taking away the "real life" communication that people should be having.

   Just what you mentioned - the excessive need for attention.  Why do people have to text every thing they do all day long:  "I am eating lunch."  "Just went to Walmart."  "Just put the dog out."  Big deal!
   
   I can't imagine thinking the people would be interested in every little thing I do.  That is what I hate about it - it seems to either make everyone so danged self-centered or it brings it out of people.
   
   I was reading Yahoo news one day and a sidebar came up that told me the news articles some of my friends had read...WHAT?  How invasive is this stuff?!!
   
   I have deactivated my Facebook account many time, then reactivate.  Stupid!  Another thing that bugs me is they don't let you delete the account, just deactivate it.

   They take up a lot of time, and for someone like me it is difficult to get away from these websites and do some actual work..

   I haven't got to the point of deleting my facebook, but it gets annoying when I log in and all I see in the "updates" are chain-posts, basically the equivalent of a forwarded email of a poem with a cat in a hat dancing! Then there are the few people who have posts in another language I don't know, but that's on me since I'm just to lazy to remove them...

   I think the only thing i hate about Facebook is when people find the need to tell people how depressing their lives are or publicly trying to humiliate people. Some people are just there to fight with others but the easy solution is just to delete those people.
   
   Other than that I think it's great, my sister spent about a year trying to get me on there in 2007 when i had absolutely no interest what so ever.
   
   Some people live on there others like myself just choose to share info. Most of my statuses are just to humour people not just 'is now eating lunch.'
