I actually just dropped off an old cel phone to a local battered women's shelter here in town. Organizations like that are always looking for donated communication devices.
If it's old enough (like your picture) then I would peruse BuyMyTronics.com. Their site is very organized to look up older electronics and will tell you what you might expect from sending the items to them. They will pay for the shipping charges on the item and send you payment after receiving the item and examining it. Pretty painless way to get rid of items that are old but can be recycled or remanufactured.
The last place I go to, not that it's not a viable resource but because it costs me money, is an electronics recycling business. The one I go to charges $ 12.00 per pound of electronics stuff that you drop off (except for computers). This I use for electronics that are no longer viable even for charity donation.
