We have the same problem and the last thing you want to do is venture out in blowing wind and snow and dust the darn thing off!
I think eventually we might build a small metal roof for it which is steeply slanted towards the back side of the dish. That way the little roof would be high in front and leave the receiver open for the signal. Snow slides off of a metal roof very easily and it would also protect it from heavy rain.
