   I would go with the Samsung Galaxy S3. The S3 is not a phone, it's something else. I've never ever experienced something like this in my entire life. The touch is so damn sensitive, I have to hardly touch the screen. The new features are all really incredible. And it's an Android phone. The Iphone doesn't have access to the Android Market as it run on Apple's operating system, ios. So you won't be able to make use of the millions of apps on Android Market, if you buy the Iphone.

      Hi Brajeev, I agree with going with Galaxy S3 but not because of your points because they are not correct. Everybody knows that Apple's App Market is bigger and better than Android Market. You can find every app that's for Android on iOS App Market.

      kksonakiya, when I wrote apps, I didn't mean the number of apps. I meant the number of apps available to the customer for free. You have to pay for many apps on the iOS App Market, but there are lots of apps which are free in the Google Play market.

   Samsung Galaxy S III without  a doubt. It has all the things that iPhone 4S has plus some extra. I am obviously not talking about OS, I am talking about the power that comes with the quad core processor. Plus, iPhone 4S has the same old 3.5-inch screen, which I personally think a little small for a superb smartphone.
   Galaxy S III has now been upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich and I wouldn't be surprised if Jelly Bean makes it way through as well.
   Currently, I can go with Galaxy S iii hands down, rest is yours to decide.

   Although I'd agree that the S3 is the superior phone in itself, you shouldn't discount some of the things that are unique to the iphone. Especially Siri and the iphone app store (as much as Android is improving Apple still have the best app store).

   I don't own an SGS3 but ever since I held it in my hands and used it for few minutes, I can't seem to find a better phone than that.
   
   btw HTC 1X is also a very beautiful phone with high end specs and features. Apple really need to work hard on iphone 5 to compete in the current smart phone market.

   Specifications wise I would vote for the S3 but if your a die hard IPhone loyalist the 4S offers a polished and feature rich alternative.

   The Samsung Galaxy SIII has superior hardware.  Check out this chart from one of my Hubs called, "Android and the Open Source Revolution".  I want to note a few things.  The chart shows the Korean version of the Galaxy SIII.  The difference between the Korean version and the U.S. version is the processor is dual-core for the U.S. version.  Another difference is the international version only has 1 GB of RAM instead of the 2 GB RAM that can be found on both the Korean and U.S. version.  Otherwise The rest of the chart is mostly consistent across different countries. 
   
   I also want to note that pixel density is a ratio of total pixels to screen size.  The iPhone 4S has a higher pixel density because the screen is very small.  The GS3 has the superior graphics processor, but the pixel density is lower because of the larger screen size, so don't be fooled by the pixel density as that can be a misleading stat.

   In my opinion it's the iPhone. We are a split family of the iPhone and Galaxy. Both are great phones, but I'm an Apple fan. I even named it my BFF and I'm not ashamed to admit it
