Why do people use Bing instead of Google?
What's so great about the search engine Bing? DO you use Bing?
No I do not use Bing, and I do not consider it a good search engine.
However, to some it might be a worthy website (or it could have been preset as homepage or as preferred search engine).
I switched over to Bing because I couldn't stand all the changes Google was making to its UI. In addition, Bing Maps seem a lot more clearer to me, which is important because I'm a cyclist.
Lastly, I use Bing because of the Rewards program. I've probably redeemed about $30 of Amazon gift certificates since I joined. It's not a lot of money but it's allowed me to make some free purchases at Amazon.
I use both. Bing on my laptop and Google on my tablet. They are pretty close to the same to me. I don't see why there is a big deal over one being better than the other.
No, I stopped using it shortly after it was unveiled. I liked their rewards points system in which you get a certain amount of points towards a gift card for searches using Bing, but I'm not even sure they do that anymore. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I guess, and Google is still the most seamless engine to use.
They had the test which let you search something, and choose which the best results were. I came out with Google winning (not by a landslide though).
The main reason I use Google is that it is linked with other Google products. More and more, they are making all their software work even better alongside each other. Google+ is a great example of this, as they prioritize pages that your friend has seen and +1'd (if you search for the same thing).
I get free Amazon gift cards by using Bing as my search engine. They have a program called Bing Rewards that is awesome. I use Google once I've earned my max points for the day.
never heard of that before! let me check it out..thanks!
No problem! It's a great program! You earn the gift cards before you know it just by doing your normal Hub research. Good luck!
Sadly it isn't available in my region. I would like to give Bing a chance but seems I won't after all.
too bad..not available in my region sob sob sob
That stinks! I'm really sorry! Hopefully they will extend it soon.
I use Bing, Yahoo, and Google. Yes, i use Google most of the times but if i need to do a wider and deeper research, i use all three. Infact, i often use dogpile too. Dogpile is an awesome search engine since it combines results of Bing, Yahoo and Google and then tells you which link came from yahoo, which one came from Google and which from Bing. You should try it some time
I don't use it as a search engine, but it does have some useful tools for web developers: http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster.
I use a combo of Google and Yahoo! for search, mostly Google.
My guess is that many people use Bing because their new Windows computers have only the IE browser, which is, of course, set to use Bing as the default search / homepage. Many people aren't aware that different browsers and search engines even exist.
I think Bing is a mediocre search engine and the only reason it exists is so Microsoft can sell adspace to compete with Google.
Is there a way to watch your HubPages account through Bing?
It depends I think.. As for me running a blog I used all of the search engine to gain traffic for my blog, whether Google, Bing, Dmoz, Yahoo, AOL, etc..
I dont think its great at all I think Bing is crap ,its search aspects are very narrow
compared to,the multi -billion dollar organisation we know as Google...
I do not use bing. I resent the fact that it got installed on my computer when Windows did a massive amount of updates one night. I find it slower and less accurate that Google. I have used other search engines in the past but Google has always served me best. There use to be a browser called Northern Light, which may be available on a subscription basis but is no longer free.
Google has about 73% of search engine user base . Bing is comparatively easier to use than Google due to its interface and people who needs easier usage use Bing or yahoo.

Bing or Google? Which search engine do you prefer?I see the commercial on television about how people are choosing Bing over Google as a search engine. I did the "Bing it on" test and my results came out as a draw. What is your experience? Do you prefer Bing or Google?

Did you hear the news? It's everywhere.http://www.businessweek.com/technology/ … 826397.htmYahoo and Microsoft agreed to a 10 year deal where Yahoo backs away from focusing on its search engine so that Bing can move foward. All I can say is WOW...What impact will this have on SEO? Internet...

While I was in the forums, i saw a lot of hubbers complain about the effect of the Google Panda on their traffic and earnings. Some even so disappointed that they were thinking about quitting hubpages. I was wondering that Google is not the only search engine in the market. Google has strong...
