Do you think placing your photo online is risky?

Awhile back I learned that when your photo is online, there is technology available now that can gather highly personal information with it, such as your social security number, etc. It's even worse if you use your real name with it. Many here at least use their real photo because they have been told it makes their work appear more "professional". Some also use their real names. Do you worry about identity theft? I do...which is why you will never see my photo or real name here.

Which is why I rarely, if ever, post personal pix or info on my FB. My Facebook is mostly Simpsons quotes, links to my HubPages, music videos and other nerdy junk that no one cares about.

Well, it happens every day. The software has been out there for this for a few years now.

Sorry, but I disagree. It might do you good to do a bit of research to see what FB tried to do awhile back (and may still be doing). Those cameras you discussed aren't on the internet...big difference.
