  • Delete all .log and .chk files in the ExchSrvr\Mdbdata folder on the server. Additionally, if the Temp.edb file exists in the ExchSrvr\Mdbdata folder, delete it.

  • Start the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service to ensure that the databases are working. After confirming Exchange Information Store service successful initiation, stop the Exchange Information Store service.

  • Defragment the database that you just repaired.

  • Use the Isinteg.exe command-line tool to repair Pub.edb and Priv.edb.

  • Try to start the information store database.
