taken by me in 2008 with my old LG phone...

Location Holberg Inlet on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

I really like the depth of field, from the tight close-up of the grasses to the rocks visible under water, the pilings of the dock and way in the distance, the blue hills. I love my old LG, still taking pics with it albeit a slightly newer model LG285 (was new in 2008,but now discontinued). Pretty basic, here's a pic:

    hahaha a dinosaur!

Now I'm wondering if your forum thread will be perceived as too promotional, (promoting your Hub) which is not allowed. If so, I apologize for suggesting it!

Firstly, great photo, especially considering that it was taken 8 years ago! Fantastic scenery and composition! Second, I really ought to read up on the guidelines as I didn't intend for this post to be promotional, but I also didn't realize that promotional behavior is against the rules. I'll change that right away! Once again, great post, and cheers my friend!

This was taken with my old iPhone 3GS back in January 2011.  It's shame the cafe/coffee shop this was taken in is no longer in business.  It was cute and had good food.

This was taken with an iPhone 4s in July 2013 at a church on Mt. Kilimanjaro. It's one of my favorites because it was totally candid. I was taking pictures of the new priest ordination ceremony and meant to catch a quick shot of the boys singing in the "side choir", but happened to catch that one young man's attention at just the right time.

This is awesome MsBiz... Did you edit? Color? Was this THE Mt. Kilimanjaro? Fascinating!

Yep, this was taken in Tanzania on THE Mt. Kilimanjaro. (I travel there every few years to teach counseling, since the psychology profession is WAY behind there and meds/institutionalization are still the primary form of mental health treatment.)

I didn't make any edits other than changing it to sepia. I know I have the original somewhere, but it seemed fewer colors captured the atmosphere and lighting better. I rarely ever use sepia except on photos of Africa--I think because it reminds me so much of the red dirt, which you'll literally find in your ears for a month after you get back home ;-) That's not a bad thing, though, because sub-Saharan Africa is my favorite region on Earth.

Oh my gosh, those are all AMAZING pics!!!
My phone is from like... 2009. It's some sort of verizon thing with a pull out keyboard. A girl at my worked mocked me one day and told me she had the same phone when she was in the 6th grade, so don't judge my skillz! lol

This is a tree outside my house and I always liked it a lot cause I love fall.

Here's a pic of my mom's "yard" which is basically the desert.

The view from my favorite place on earth... my back deck.

Another favorite; when the trees outside my house turn pink during spring.

Thanks for letting me share these! They've been sitting in my phone for *years*! Nice to be able to do something/anything with them. smile

Sed-me Your photo gallery is welcome, I'm happy for you, that you live in such a lovely place, and you finally got to do something with your cool cell phone photos. I used to email mine to myself, but for some unbeknownst reason, unknown to me, delivery has failed recently LOL, I am flummoxed, cause my phone is full, and I can't take anymore pics. Dang!

Oh no. Jim Gaffigan has a bit about how each of his old computers become basically an unusable photo album that stack up in his closet. I guess you'll have to get a new phone/album.

You have forgotten *my phone is from 2009. What I know about phones you could fit on the end of a cell phone antennae.

Hey Stacie, good shot of the rocks and silhouette of the figure. Extremely low water when this was taken, looks like to me, or is it just the angle?
