Does anybody know how these red box DVD renting machines work? Do they have the DVDs stored? Or do they burn these DVDs upon request?
I think they're stored. It's very quick. I've used them several times, but then a friend said Redbox kept charging her card, even when she wasn't renting DVDs. I got scared and stopped renting from them.
Thanks for your response.
I have only used the RedBox once and I was also scared that they would keep charging my card. They did not. It seems that there is little in place concerning consumer protection of overcharging or charging despite having returned the DVD.
