I have not been a member of twitter very long, but tweet my hubs to it. The thing is I do not have many followers and do not know how to get more. Does tweeting these hubs mean anything if there not looked at? Like does providing these links help even if there not clicked? Somebody once told me its a win/win situation even if there clicked or not.

From what I've seen, using twitter can be good for two reasons:

      1. Supposedly google likes the ever changing quality of twitter so it's good for your links.
      2. If you add # to the front of keywords they'll go into channels which target people with that interest and have gotten me more followers sometimes, too.

Were exactly do you put the # when you tweet your hub?
Do you write some blurb say"take a look at my article on #pigeons" or something else?

You can. I usually put it after my link

Yes put it in front of a keyword and it will become a link after posting. Click the link to see most recent tweets on the subject.

When twittering make sure that you are sending it to the masses on the network, not just your followers on twitter.

Twitter will bring a little traffic. However, if the topic is more along the lines of the minds of the people, then you might see a huge uptick in traffic from using twitter.

It is unknown. I know I send some out on occasion, and even send out my blog, and get traffic. Not much, but still some traffic.

    Hope that helped. smile

This is such valuable information..I joined twitter but didn't know what to do with it. I'm gaining other hubbers as followers which is great but didn't know how to get others to be able to see links to hubs or even know I was there to follow. Thanks for such awesome information. Maybe at some point I won't be such a twitter twit.
