What is the difference between WIFI and LAN? How does WIFI really work?
Wow, that's a rather long question to answer.
It's all virtually the same until you reach the physical level: ethernet and other forms of physical cabling is generally regarded as more secure, quicker, and more reliable than wifi.
Wifi has a bunch of standards going for it with funny names all starting with 802.11.
It uses radio waves to transmit ones and zeroes, and varies how it does this depending on which version of standard it is.
