It's the last date on the Mayan calendar, that much is completely real. It's also true that the Mayan calendar has had kind of an eerie closeness to real events to date, and that a lot of people believe the Mayans were crazy advanced beyond what we know.
That said, whether or not the world is going to end in 2012, that reaches a bit beyond the facts above in my opinion.
i think its only a "BS",lol no one knows what will happen when that year comes..lets just wait for the year to come..lets see what will happen, ...hope it will be a happy 2012,, belated happy new year to you guyzzzzz
2012 is just the year that all this planetary solar system related stuff happens, which happens ever 2000 years. The whole calendar thing is not true. For one, they realized that their calculations of the calendar are not correct. Two, there have been many interviews with the last Mayan people, who have all said it's a bunch of hype, and they don't get why scientists are making such a big deal about it. Here's the thing people don't seem to pay attention to. Scientists are just people like us, paid a lot of money to mess around with things and tell the world what their opinion on a subject is. For some odd reason every one likes to believe their opinions are completely true. I would guess do to their being labeled a "scientist." The world will be ending in 2012 for all those who get so scared of the media hype that they choose to kill themselves. This happens a lot. Let's recount past times such as "6/6/6" and "Y2K" and the years before then. All these false prohpets want nothing more than to scare people and gain control from it.
Today I got a breaking news through email which reads as follow:End of the world, which was scheduled for 2012 has been postponed to 3012 due to some technical problem. Please co-operate and continue to live with...
It won't. But if it does, please e-mail me in case I missed it. If it does happen, it will be a solar flash, which is the sun getting way too close to earth, then heating up too hot, and then traveling away
