Best Tripod Projector Screen - Handpicked portable tripod projection screens (Review)

Tripod Projection Screens

A tripod projector screen is a portable screen that easily collapses and folds. Tripod projection screens can easily be carried around from place to place or folded up and put away when you are not using it at home. They are useful for your business presentations, if you plan on taking your projector to a friend's house or even if you just want to move it from room to room in your house.

Tripod projector screens varie in ease in mobility (size/weight), in flexibility, and in strength. Size and weight are major attributes to consider when it comes to mobility: a typical tripod projector screen can be from 40 to 125 inches wide when fully unfolded. But still, while conventional wisdom would suggest that a smaller tripod projection screen should be more portable, you'd be surprised at how easy the larger ones are to carry around, given the fact that they collapse into much smaller pieces.

There are a few different ways in which a portable tripod screen condenses. Some do this in a "scisor" style, while others may in fact detach from the base. Tripod screens cost ranges from $60 to over $300, depending on the size and the make of the screen.

Epson Duet ELPSC80 - Dual Aspect Ratio Tripod Projection Screen

The Duet Ultra Portable Projection Screen from Epson is the best selling tripod projector screen on, and there are many reasons for that.

To set up your screen, you can either use the included floor stand, or mount it to the wall with the included bracket.

Then, you pull the screen out to the size that works best for you, 65 inches for standard viewing (4:3) or 80 inches for widescreen viewing (16:9).

This tripod screen has an innovative design: when closed, the Duet forms its own carrying case. And since it opens horizontally, it is much shorter than other screens of this size (just 43" long).

Dimensions (W x D x H) : 46.0" x 11.5" x 9.0"

If you need something big, the Elite tripod screens will do the job. (sizes: 136in, 119in, 113in diagonal - 1:1 aspect ratio).

It is a "pull up" screen, with an auto-locking system. An adjustable locking ring provides ease in its adjustable height settings. It carries a standard keystone eliminator. The Max White Gain screen material is durable and easy to clean.

Da-Lite Versatol Tri-pod Screens

If you're on a budget, you might consider Da-Lite's Versatol tripod screens. High-low case adjustment allows an up to 70" x 70" screen to be fully opened in a room with an 8' ceiling. The Keystone eliminator tilts the screen forward to compensate for distorted images.
