Hummer came out with smaller versions as it attempted to make vehicles that were more road worthy. The H2 and H3 were last ditch efforts to find a larger market for the vehicle. Hummer was swimming upstream though, both with the trend for smaller vehicles and with the financial difficulties of Hummer’s parent, General Motors. On February 24, 2010 General Motors announced that it was folding the Hummer brand.
