Keep tires properly inflated. Look out for fraying or worn belts and check for leaks in the hoses. Somewhat more challenging, but still possible are small repairs such as oil changes and changing filters. If you don’t want to do any or all of these preventative maintenance steps, it’s important to find a reliable mechanic who can check out your car periodically.
