The biggest criticism with electric cars has been that they are tiny little cars without a lot of power that can’t travel very far without needing a recharge. Silicon Valley based Tesla Motors is doing what it can to change that image. Tesla is putting out beautiful sporty looking vehicles that are designed to compete with the best of the “traditional” vehicles. Tesla is setting new standards for ride quality as well as dramatically increasing the travel distance between charges. There are other manufacturers committing to electric as well. BMW, Nissan, and Smart all have electric vehicles available. The future of electric cars is very exciting.
