Honda has been one of the leaders in the natural gas movement with its Civic GX being the first natural gas vehicle offered to the general public in the U.S. An additional benefit of natural gas is that is readily available and accessible. One disadvantage is that natural gas vehicles tend to be smaller and more expensive than traditional fuel powered vehicles. Another challenge is that natural gas vehicles typically only go about half as far as traditional cars before needing to be refueled.
