The New York Public Library has lists of recommended books for readers in a large number of categories. They further break the lists down by specific books for adults, for teens, and for younger readers. Log on to amazon.com and you can find hundreds of recommended reading lists in every category imaginable. They are supplied by the readers so you want to evaluate the reasoning, but some of them can be useful.
