The classics of science fiction represent some of the best books ever written. They also represent some of the most successful. There is no exact definition for science fiction, but the phrase “stranger in a strange land” comes to mind. Some of the legendary writers include Robert Heinlein, H.G. No list of science fiction writers would be complete without mentioning Douglas Adams and his unique comedy Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Probably due in part to the highly visual nature of science fiction books, many of the classics have been made into films. Television has also had its share of science fiction successes with Star Trek being the most noteworthy. Star Trek fans, like many science fiction fans, are among the most passionate of any genre.
