There are a few steps that are helpful when writing editorials. Step one – State your position. You will be making it clear how you feel from the beginning. Don’t be weak. Step two – List the compelling reasons for your opinion. You also want to address the most popular counter arguments. If you don’t refute the standard counter arguments the reader will be left wondering why. Step three – Conclude. Restate your position and justify it based on the facts.
