Metals are reactive and tend to easily form compounds with other elements. Metals are excellent conductors of heat and electricity. Many are commonly used in electronic devices. Metals also combine easily to create alloys. Steel is an example of an alloy. The variety and flexibility of metals makes our lives easier, safer, and more enjoyable every day. We may not be able to name them all, but metals are an indispensible part of our lives.
